Restaurant "De Schaapsbel" ("The Sheep's bell") is located in the center of Leiden in The Netherlands. They serve only Dutch style pancakes. These are meant to be full meal pancakes, not dessert or starter pancakes. As is usual, you can get both sweet pancakes with (for example) apples, raisins, powdered sugar and cinnamon & you can get them with things like cheese and ham.

Though the food is good, they are a little on the pricey side when compared with other pancake restaurants, though still very affordable. Occasionally they will get your order mixed up and the staff is usually friendly but have their bouts of grumpiness. The atmosphere is good though and the restaurant does merit a visit.

A meal of one pancake and two drinks will set you back about €11,- to €12,- per person.
